5.0 out of 5 stars Bringing SharePoint development to an enterprise level September 16, 2010
Format:Paperback
If you are leading team of developers or developing custom solutions for SharePoint 2010 and would like to start or move towards developing at an enterprise level this book will point you in the right direction. Using the best practices that are outlined, you will be able to develop advanced SharePoint applications in Visual Studio. This book will improve your development process and improve your quality, consistency and time to market for customized solutions. Most common customizations have been covered.

I run a team of SharePoint developers and can not stress how much our process has improved by using this Visual Studio project structure. Before everyone on the team was doing their own thing and some were even modifying out of the box code. Enforcing all changes to be in a Visual Studio project has made deployments a lot easier, and internally we have been able to improve our coding standards and usability of our solutions across all our clients. Once our reliance on SharePoint designer has been reduced, development and deployment estimates have become a lot more predictable.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great resource March 9, 2011
Format:Paperback|Amazon Verified Purchase
This is an awesome resource if you are doing serious development with SharePoint Server 2010 as your platform. The book is concise and well written although there are a number of typos and grammatical errors so my 6th grade english teacher might be upset but the code examples are spot on. This book is a must have for any serious SharePoint developer. I will be purchasing a copy for every member of my team and will certainly be recommending it to all of my clients.

4.0 out of 5 stars Exceptional December 7, 2011

One of the best hands on with SharePoint 2010 books I've found. Practical examples and common use cases scenario's, most administrators and all developers can gain something from this. Highly enjoyable writing style and very to the point.
