Get a Grip On Your Device

Perfect for GPS Navigation
The USA Gear dashMOUNT LP is the ultimate accessory for safely displaying your device for GPS navigation while driving. It holds your device horizontally and allows you to safely and clearly follow GPS instructions.

Quick and Easy Setup
To display your device, hold open the spring loaded top, insert your smartphone and the rubber grips keep it held in place. The top has a flip-out handle to allow you to conveniently open and access your device.

Lightweight and Portable
The lightweight collapsible design is easy to store and transport. It is compact and small enough to store in your glove compartment, under your seat, or even in your purse, backpack, or bag. The practical design takes up very little space and is a perfect travel companion for GPS users.

Securely Keeps Your Device Held in Place
Whether accelerating, breaking, or making sharp turns, the non-slip stick pad stays firmly attached to your dash. A flip-out door keeps the non-slip pad covered when not in use. The spring loaded top along with the rubber inserts apply enough force to prevent any movement from your phone.

Great product design!

Well the "non-slip" pad has a piece of plastic that needs to be removed and it is very sticky and appears that it will permanently attach itself the dash.
S. Gamer
It's difficult to get open, impossibly with one hand, and if you don't get it right it will clamp shut on your finger.

This is the third and most successful dashmount I've used. The first covered the air vent so I didn't get much air; the second had suction cups that didn't hold and clips that broke after interfering with the charger cord. The simple clam shell design (no suction cups and no clips to break) keeps my iPhone4 in place with a few different angles to eliminate screen glare. It doesn't interfere with the charger cord, and doesn't block any of the screen. I didn't stick it down to the dash, since I mainly need my phone's GPS on longer trips and like to stow the mount out of sight when not needed. The clam shell design makes it streamlined when closed and easy to put away, under the seat, in a map pocket, or anywhere. Because I didn't stick it down, it tends to move when I corner hard if I don't have it positioned just so on the dash; this doesn't happen when driving on expressways for longer trips however. It sits steady on the dash where I don't need to move my eyes from the road more than a second to drop down to check the GPS. Great product design!

This is the most secure, substantial docking station I have bought to date. The only proviso is that you can't charge your phone/device while it is in the stand unless the charger connects to the top or bottom of the phone/device. (In landscape mode, you can't access a port if it is on the "side" of the device.) So whether you use it in the car, home, or office, if you want to charge your device during use, keep this in mind.

For such a cheap price this is a decently nice phone cradle. I only have 2 complaints.

1 It didn't fit my galaxy nexus (I took a dremel to it and problem solved)

2 The adhesive backing is not very strong (sometimes when I try to put the phone in it just pulls right off)

Otherwise great little phone cradle with a good sun shade

I purchased this to use while driving a passenger bus. The case is sturdy, and it hold my phone upright as described. The main problem, is that you cannot charge a phone with a side mounted charging port. I drilled a hole large enough for the plug, but I had to relocate the upper retainer to make it work. The sticky base works great if you have a perfectly flat surface to place it on. Contoured dashes are not good for this "dashmount" cradle.

It does take two hands to open the unit so be prepared to remove it from the dash each time you put your phone in it. I assume a strong spring will hold up longer than a weak one but there is no guarantee. I use it for my iPhone 5 and you cannot charge the phone while it is in the mount. The side walls could use a notch, or be removed completely, so you could get to the end of your phone to charge it.

I bought a grip pad for my dash to put this on so I don't use the grip pad on the bottom of this unit. All in all it seems sturdy and does what it says it will do. There is some angle adjustment for the iPhone so you can optimize the viewing angle.

I bought this holder for my iPhone so I could see the GPS without looking down. I refuse to get any mount that uses adhesive since I don't want to destroy my dashboard, and the mounts that use suction cups always fall off. This seemed like a good alternative, and it was cheap. I really like the sticky grip on this mount. It has a strong hold on the dash, but comes off clean when I want to put it away. It also has a cover for the grip so it doesn't get dust and dirt all over it, which is nice, but it can be difficult to open. And it's really annoying trying to put my phone in it, because the resistance is really tight. I've found the best way to get it set up is to open the grip cover, then put the phone in, and then put the whole thing on the dash. If you try to put the phone in after the mount is on the dash, the mount will come off the dash. The worst part about this mount is that I can't charge my phone [easily] while my phone is in it. That is a huge design flaw.

I would like to also point out that I have a case on my iPhone and it fits in the mount just fine. It is a slim case, so I'm not sure if bulkier cases would work.

There are probably better dash mounts out there, but this one is fine for the amount I use it, which is not often.

I was a fan of this device when I was searching for it, but when it arrived, our Sprint Galaxy3 was just a smidge to long for it to fit inside. But, I did like the design, solid feel, and some of the design features. I was sad I could not use it for my wife's car and phone. So, instead of sending it back because I did like it, and exact measurements were not available online to to match my needs, I sold it to a guy at work for his iPhone... solved and everybody wins :-)
