Yes, it's a Badfinger song on Badfinger's "Straight Up" album from late 1971. Awesome band. Everyone should own Badfinger's "Straight Up" and "No Dice" CDs. If you love The Beatles, early Who, The Byrds, Big Star and such, you'd love Badfinger. On the original "Day After Day" single, ex-Beatle George Harrison (RIP) played the second slide guitar alongside singer Pete Ham's (RIP) slide guitar. The original is a true work of art. Rod's version is all right.
