I have back problems where it is difficuult for me to be on my feet for long periods of time without sitting down. Often there isnt a good place to sit and if making a purchase it is extra hard to keep possesions all together. The advertisements show a guy sitting on this and even a car being driven over one in it's collapsed state.
So the good points are 1) it was pretty easy to open and 2)it held my weight fine sitting on it. The bad points are A)any soft ground such as sand, loose leaves, gravel and I am pretty much dragging it, not rolling it and B)it doesn't compact back easily. Once opened the little latches don't all go back and fasten together again so carrying in the closed state is a bit on the flappy side. C) the retractable handle doesn't work smoothly, maybe some WD-40 or graphite powder would help.

It is still pretty handy and I am planning on taking it to a music festival and will see if the second outing sends it over the edge to the garbage dump. I am thinking a non collapsing version would be just as handy as this collapsing one and be sturdier.

First Day of usage bottom fell out and all items landed on the ground.
Second Day of usage both wheels fell off and entire box ended up in trashcan.
Not worth the money if you want something reliable.
Dissapointed that i spend that much money on this.

I had one of the smaller versions of the quik cart. I used it to death - always overloaded it; used to when I moved. When I decided to get a new one, I found the "xtra." I was very excited because it was bigger, held more weight, and had better wheels than the smaller version. When I got it home, I wanted to use it right away and took the paper wrapper off. When I did, something fell out. I didn't know what it was - just a little plastic stick. Later, I found another little plastic stick, and realized those were the plastic pegs that held the sides together. I tried to put the pieces back in, but they won't stay, so my crate is literally falling apart at the seams.

Also, on the 2nd or 3rd time I used it, one of the latches that keeps it folded closed broke, so I couldn't carry it in the closed up position. Fortunately I have a hatchback and it would fit in my car in the open position, so I just left it open.

I need to keep a cart in my car for groceries, etc., since I live on the 5th floor of my building. I like to bring everything in, in one trip. So, I'm off now, to find another cart that will fit nicely in the back of my car.

This is such a great product. My wife loves the filing system, great for storing her documents at home and taking them with her to work. She uses it everywhere she goes, to the super market, shopping, or to work. I love the new wheels. It's so easy to open and its amazing how little room it requires to store it. I bought two of them so I could use the stackable feature but my uncle borrowed one and never gave it back so now I have to buy another one, thanks uncle Jeff! It is a great multi purpose product, I sometimes use one of them to fix things around the house to put my tools and screws and stuff. We have bought some as gifts for family and friends and everyone loves it. There's nothing else like it. I highly recommend this product!!!

I found the Quikcrate Xtra to be ideal for packing around the cables and accessories that I use in my recording business.
The lid makes an excellent platform for the recorder and preamps when it isn't convienent or possible to obtain a table.

I wish they made a larger version capable of holding equipment that was 20 inches wide.

As someone else mentioned, the wheels on this unit aren't great. They aren't big enough to roll over anything other than firm ground. Sand, woodchips, mud... they all turn the wheeled cart in to a sled.

The unit also does not collapse down completely. Maybe there's a trick to it that I haven't figured out, but I can't get the sides to snap so that it's a flat unit again.

I also found that the lid was difficult to get off quickly. The 2nd time I used it at an event, I had to open it to show security that there was no alcohol. I ended up snapping off one of the plastic "ears" that hold the cover in place. On the plus side, it's now easier to get in to the unit.

On the plus side, it easily holds a case of wine with no problem and makes a very respectable seat for a short rest or having lunch at a festival. I've even used it as a small picnic table when.

These QuikCart Xtra are terrible, and I mean terrible. We ordered about 8 of them for a project at work where we have to cart computer equipment around. Of the original 8 only ONE is still working, on the others the wheels fell off, the pins fell out of the sides (so the sides came apart), some of the snaps cracked so the open/close feature didn't work. It's a super-lousy product and not worth your money! (Look at Staples, their blue carts are much better)

This cart fell apart within one week of use (one of the wheels fell off). I found a sturdier version of the same product at my local Staples store for $5 less, and that one is still going strong. Don't bother with this one.
