The ddrum Pro Acoustic Dual Zone Snare Trigger give you the ability to assign 2 sounds to one trigger! A second transducer mounted in the housing senses rim shots, cross sticks, or anything played on the hoop. The ddrum Pro Acoustic Triggers feature a very sturdy mechanical housing, an XLR jack for safe connection to the sound module, and they can be mounted anywhere around the hoop. The specially designed transducer is softly pressed against the bass drumhead. The advantages are obvious; you can change drum heads over and over without damaging the transducer, the metal casing protects the trigger from accidental drum hits and the ultra-light pressure of the transducer against the head prevents any "damping" effect.

I own Pintech CC drums. I started having some issues with my snare, so I figured I would make one of my own. I used an old acoustic 12" tom, Hart Magnum head and the ddrum trigger. The combo is working very well. With the ddrum trigger I get better performance and like the flexibility of not having the trigger stuck to the inside of the head.
