I was excited to try Deborah Lippman polish, as she seems to have colors that no one else does. This was one of those colors - it's like Vamp only a little more red, and SO SATURATED in color. It is truly unique, hard to appreciate via an internet picture. However, the quality of her polish is only so-so. Quite frankly, I find that OPI and Sally Hansen have polishes that wear much longer (and I know how to prolong a manicure), which is disappointing considering how expensive Lippman products are. Perhaps having such super-saturated colors impacts the polish and makes it chip easily? I am glad I was able to purchase this product at a discount through Amazon's network of sellers. That being said, I would give this color six stars if I could.

Color Name: Girls Just Want To Have FunVerified Purchase
This color is a vintage coral. It looks fresh and summery, and it is very flattering for my skin tone (pale Caucasian). It is the most expensive nail polish I ever bought, but it goes on so smoothly and looks so pretty, it might be worth it!

Color Name: Waking Up In Vegas
*****
Oh, do I love Deborah Lippmann nail polishes! They are so pricey and of amazingly good quality, and this one is no exception--I think it is worth it the price. This color--Waking Up In Vegas--is a matte putty color--a light grey with some subtle brown notes--and exactly what I was looking for. I had bought other greys over the years but they were all too dark--this one was not.

Like all Deborah Lippmann polishes, this nail polish does not streak, lasts forever, and makes your DIY manicure look like it comes from a fancy nail salon.

Highly recommended.

Color Name: Call Me IrresponsibleVerified Purchase
Call Me Irresponsible is a beautiful color in the bottle. Unfortunately it is so sheer that even with three coats, it shows VNL. Application is very difficult because the product is incredibly runny and thin, so if it is not done perfectly, you can see the difference in color. This nail polish is such a red-purple, which is surprising, as it looks more like a blue purple to me. It looks like a 2 dollar polish on my nails. It is so disappointing because with such a high price point, it should be a fantastic lacquer. All of this is compounded by the fact that this nail polish is not possible to return to Amazon ("For safety reasons, items that are classified as hazardous materials or use flammable liquids or gases cannot be returned to Amazon.com. Customers should dispose of hazardous materials according to Local, State and Federal regulations. Customers should contact their local government or local waste company for directions on how to dispose of Household Hazardous Waste."). What a waste of my time and money! I wish that these unreturnable items were better labelled by Amazon so that consumers would know to just buy them in person. I am extremely displeased with the Deborah Lippmann brand, this is my first polish from them and it is so AWFUL!

Color Name: Waking Up In VegasVerified Purchase
I've just recently purchased No More Drama, and Waking Up in Vegas and really love both of them. No More Drama, created with Mary J Blige, is a beautiful light, copper-y brown with a subtle shimmer to it. I've tried a lot of browns, and this is now my absolute favorite! It's quite unique, perfect for work or play, and will look especially gorgeous with a tan.

Waking Up in Vegas is a beautiful putty color in the taupe family, and again, very unique. It has no shimmer at all, but is classy for work or play.

I buy and wear a lot of polishes, and neither of these is close in color to ANY I've ever purchased before. I feel like I'm wearing something not everybody has, which is fun. The polish lid is easy to hold, and the polish goes on smooth and easy. Covers fairly well in one coat, but I found two to be ideal.

Great polishes and, for me, worth the extra money. They last well on their own, but apply a coat of Stickey base coat:

and Orly Won't Chip as a top coat:

for a manicure lasting nearly a week!

Color Name: DaytripperVerified Purchase
I have been using the color Daytripper for about a month now and I have to say that I just love this color. It is my go-to-color for the summer 2012 season. It matches just about anything I wear. I also think this will look good into the fall season. I do want to point out that the picture isn't anywhere near the color this actually is. This color is more of a pinky orange color.
It is a little tricky to put on and at least a couple of coats is needed to get the desired color that I was aiming for. It sure didn't let me down when I got there. I also really like the creme look. I put on a base coat. Two to three coats of Daytripper and a top coat and I'm ready to go.
I would highly recommend this color to everyone and if you decide to try it I sure hope you love the color as much as I do.

Color Name: Just Walk Away ReneeVerified Purchase
Deborah Lippman's Just Walk Away Renee nail lacquer is a beautiful, rich jewel-toned maroon creme polish. It is a perfect shade for Fall. It applies evenly with a great consistency and coverage - a 2 coater. My only complaint is, when taking it off, it's very stubborn and stains your skin - but, no matter - it's worth it for this fabulous color. My new Fall fav.

Not chemical free of course but way less chemicals and dries super fast! I don't use nail polish often, maybe once every couple of years so I'm not expert but this is bright, shiny and lasts at least 2 days without chipping and only needed 1 coat. Way better than I expected from a nail polish low in chemicals.

I love the vibrant color of this polish but wouldn't pay the price for it again. It chipped off like any of the cheaper brands do so I am not sure what the higher price is for. The name on the bottle? No thank you. Other brands are making this same color for a fraction on the cost.

Color Name: Daytripper
I absolutely love this shade for spring and summer. Now that fall is on the horizon I won't be wearing it much longer, but it is beautiful. It is not too pink and not too orange- it's just right. I have fair skin with a pink undertone and it looks good on me. But it would look good on virtually everyone, including those with warmer and/or darker skin tones. It was pretty and light enough on my fingernails that I could wear it to work (an office) and feel comfortable with the color. The polish is long-lasting, both on the hands and in the bottle- I've had Lippmann polishes that are like new two years after buying them, no joke. I use Seche Clear Base coat, then two coats of this, followed by Seche Vite Top Coat. I touch this up with coat of color during the week- it lasts approx. seven days on nails that are in good condition. In this case, it is worth it to spend a little more- I've tried Revlon, Cover Girl, Wet & Wild, TIPS, Lancome, OPI, you name it. Other than my base & top coat, I refuse to use anything but Lippmann for my nail colors. They go on smoothly, last so long and look so pretty on.
