I'll take a wild guess that this was a launch tactic. LBP is a huge lure for this system, so advertise in a way that it appears as though it will be one of the earlier releases; that'll certainly boost initial sales. I've seen this with most launches on various systems. AAA Games that appear to look like they will be out shortly after a system launch, suddenly hit unusually long delays. Heck, I purchased my Vita (and love love love it) based on seeing LBP clips back from months ago. I'm not angry or frustrated, as there's plenty to play with for now, but thought I'd just mentioning this as an observation. I'm having a blast with Lumines, Uncharted, Mod Nation, Super Stardust Delta & Tales from Space: Mutant Blobs Attack.
Amazon does this quite a lot. If a game gets pushed back, they'll change the date to December 31 of the year the game is expected to come out. Once an official launch date is announced it'll change. ;)
I sold my Vita, since there are just NO good games coming out right now and I regretted even buying it on release day. I will buy it again when there are BETTER games coming out. :(I plan on waiting until Black Friday and see if there's going to be any good bundles for it. I hope by the end of this year, LBP2 and FFX will be out by then. But I'm not keeping any hopes up. It feels like Sony doesn't care to promote anything about this system anymore, like how they don't care about the Move. Seems Nintendo's 3DS is still going strong right now. Sad. And such a tragedy.
Such a promising system but it got a crappy lineup of games for launch. And for months now, there's been no new games for it. Weak. I hope by the end of this year it will be better. I'm never buying any gaming system on launch ever again, it's a huge waste of time and money. I know Gravity Rush is coming out this summer but I've lost interest in it. What a waste.
June 26 will not be the release date. The beta hasn't even launched (and probably won't for another week or two). A month is nowhere near enough time for the beta to run, get info, make changes and still get it published before then.
