Saint Sophia back and even better,

Absolutely awesome, stronger than their first LP. As far as their sound goes, it's a a little Sonic Youth, a little REM, a little MBV, and a lot of themselves. Melancholy and beautiful. Killer production as well.

Saint sophia's second album is just a hint as to the greatness that is sure to come. This is a fine CD full of lush texture a excellent vocals. Low Elms will eventually be a huge success, you just don't know it yet. Influences might include the Cure, Radiohead and U2, but they have their own vision as well. Don't make me say I told you so, just buy it, and support an independant artist while you're at it too.

Seattle Independent Rock... that isn't dumb?!,
By NW Rock (Seattle, WA) - See all my reviews

This is near the top of the list of excellent independent records to come out of the Seattle area in the last year. It's textural and the whole album paints a great mood. The thing is, this could very well be a long-term REAL band, not just some trendy indie gimmick-band that is super cool for 10 seconds and then gone. They've got chemistry, they've got ideas, they've got songs, and they can play.
