Does this device work for the hidden SSID scenario? Hello:

I don't do encryption or passwords of any kind. I only hide my SSID, and use the MAC address *allow* capability of my router to restrict connections to my network.

Would this device work under such a scenario?

I assume I'd have to add the device's MAC address to my router's *allow* table. But how does it handle hidden SSID's?

I don't see why not. Just connect an ethernet cable to the thing and then go to it's configuration page and enter in the SSID you want use manually. It should work. AFAIK it works like any other laptop or whatever. You connect it to the wireless you have existing and all it does is take that wireless signal and broadcast it. So it should be able to connect like any other wireless device would.
