great balloon BUT my plan was bad

used for a middle school tethered balloon launch

This balloon was perfect for our middle school balloon launch. We only wanted to attach a camera to get photos of the school and this balloon provided more than enough lift to accomplish that. It was very cost effective and did not use nearly the amount of Helium that we had used with the larger balloons in the past. Additionally, this balloon was very easy to watch as we lofted it to 1000 feet in the air with the use of a kite reel. The students loved the activity and it was great prep for our full balloon launch we are planning for this fall.

weather baloon

Liked the size for our two year old grandson. Inflated it with a leaf blower and folded the neck of the balloon over and tied it up with a large rubber band. Next morning it had lost about one foot of its diameter. Hopefully there is no leak in the balloon and we just have to tie it up better when we refill it.

This balloon get sooo big when you fill it up with helium... it's obscene.... and you can lift like 5 lbs of stuff if it's really full.... and in the wind it'll whip around like crazy and .. if you are in an urban area it might slam into a power transformer or just get caught in a tree...if it's tehered (see my review for 1000' 300-lb. Ashaway Braided Dacron Kite Line).

Fun but too easily popped.

Very entertaining for my 12 year old scientist but not as sturdy as we thought. He got one for Christmas and his aunt ended up buying him another one after the first one popped after coming in contact with another child's fingernail. The second one popped when it touched the grass. He was so disappointed he didn't want to order another one.
