I've read through various post on various sites that scenes are cut/censored from the dvd version but it is unclear to me which one. Which one is uncensored? and... what other differences are there between the two? There must be something to warrant a $20 price difference.
According to TVShowsOnDVD.com.,the show was first issued on DVD in 2003 by Canadian company Alliance Atlantis so it is probably the uncensored Canadian version. No guarantee I guess but I read on this website that the one by Acorn has been cut.I am going to question around some more though because I love this show so much and want all of them - uncensored. People talk like people talk - that is why it is so real.
Well, I went ahead and got the ~$20 version (Alliance Atlantis, upc-065935148432). It 13 episodes seemingly uncut/uncensored, close captioning french/english. No extra features. running time 9 hours 58 minutes. I think the ~$40-$50 version has behind the scenes stuff and cast interviews and a running time of 611? minutes. I see cast interview online at davincisinquest.tv for free so... If this is the only difference I'm happy with the less expensive version.
Disc 1-Little sister parts 1-3 Disc 2-The Quality of Mercy Know to the Ministry We All Fall Down Disc 3-The Stranger Inside -Gabriel -The Most Dangerous Time Disc 4-The Bridge -Final Chapter -The Hunt (aka The Hunt part 1) -The Capture (aka The Hunt part 2)
The Acorn Media verison of Da Vinci's Inquest, Season 1 is most definitely NOT censored. It was put on DVD exactly as it was aired on television. Can anyone give any kind of specific example rather than spreading this false rumor further?
