Has anyone used this camera in different countries? I seen in the manual that your not suppose to use an adapter because it could damage the camera

You should be fine. You can always use the USB cable with a charger. :-)

I haven't used it in a different country, but it charges from a standard micro usb cable. Any micro usb standard smartphone charger that works in the country you're in should do the job just fine. :-)

I had the DSC-WX100, which is the same as this camera except it's "touch screen". I used it in South America; namely Peru & Ecuador and I had no problem charging it. The reason I bought this camera is because the other one got wet when we went snorkeling & put the camera in a water-proof cover, which didn't work.
