I'm not surprised that there are not many reviews here for Sia-she's not really mainstream chart toppingly known though her voice has been heard if you're a fan of Sex and the City as she provided the vocals for Zero 7's In the Waiting Line. Most recently her song You've Changed was played during a scene in the Vampire Diaries. Sia also collaborated with Christina Aguilera's least successful album Bionic which is unfortunate because Sia wrote her fine songs: Birds of Prey, I Am, You Lost Me, and All I Need. Sia is still waiting for her breakthrough here in the States.
1. The Fight-Just as catchy and upbeat as You've Changed-5/5
2. Clap Your Hands-The second single I believe and an enjoyable track 4.5/5
3. Stop Trying-Sounds kind of school girlish but I'm sure anyone can relate. 4/5
4. You've Changed-One of Sia's best tracks ever. 5/5
5. Be Good to Me-Need your Sia soul ballad fix-this track should please. 4.5/5
6. Bring Night-Another great fun track in the same style as The Fight and You've Changed 4/5
7. Hurting Me Now-Heavy track title but still upbeat and Sia coos out the lyrics. 5/5
8. Never Gonna Leave Me-Great upbeat track-sounds like vintage Gwen Stefani. 4.5/5
9. Cloud-One of the folkier tracks-vintage Sia beauty. 4.5/5
10. I'm in Here-Sia's gorgeous rich vocals enchant in this melancholy track. 4/5
11. The Co-Dependent-Mid-tempo track-4/5
12. Big Girl Little Girl-One of my faves on the whole album-5/5
13. Of Father-A Madonna track but I'm not a huge fan of her but I like Sia's take on this track. 4/5
14. Gorgeous stripped down version-very enjoyable.
A must own album imo. Sia's best as far as I'm concerned.

I'm a man of few words. This album is simply incredible. Her voice is amazing. The songs have some of the catchy pop elements that I find appealing, but she also manages to write songs that reach me on a deeper level. I highly recommend this album. Its a shame she doesn't get any airplay in the states. I discovered Sia thanks to IMF. The last great music channel!

I'm a classic Rock guy thru and thru but, her voice and style won me over. Bluesy, jazzy, and even poppy at times but no matter what style its her style alone and her voice and the feeling she put to every word well, "won me over" I am only sorry it took me so long to find and appreciate her music.

The Australian musician Sia is to me like a mix between Fiona Apple and Florence and the Machine. Sia's videos are quirky (including the one on this MP3 album) and her songs are just as quirky. I love this album; there's not one throw-away song on it!

I first heard Sia's amazing vocals from her collaboration with Zero 7. I haven't checked out most of her previous work but I was really interested in "We Are Born" because it had two of my favorite songs from her, "Clap Your Hands" and "You've Changed". I'm glad to say that this album as a whole, is stellar! Sia has an awesome vocal range that's so soulful and complex yet she knows how to balance it amidst an electronic sound landscape. She has a lot of strength in her voice but isn't afraid to use it lightly when the time is right. Her lyrics are fun, never too heavy-handed and she takes subject matter that's been done a million times but makes it feel completely new and fresh, you can't help but be swept into the playfulness she exudes with her arrangements. It's a very electronic sound, so if you don't like that, you might not like it all that much. Still, Sia's voice is worth taking a listen. It's crazy to think that no-talent hacks get more play than an accomplished artist like Sia but alas, that's sometimes how it works. Anyway, I highly recommend this album to any and all who want something divine to listen to.
