am i the only one that htinks that ubisoft broke weak in going back to the sands of time format rather than going in the direction they were? the last prince was dissapointing but had tons of potential and could have really been expanded on. this one was just taking an old familiar idea and redoing it again. the prince of persia series has long been my favorite but im staarting to stray. i like the action in forgotten sands, but the combat is really lame for pop i mean it used to be the master of acrobatics. its like theyve been steadily dumbing the game down and thats not what we fans of the series want, if anything we want it harder yes? its like theyre trying to appeal to a wider audience or something when they have enough fans to win and be in the running for game of the year multiple times. yet on the new consoles the franchise has been steadily falling behind. its a drag to see as on the last generation they were some of the best. i hope someone from ubisoft reads the forums and gets the message that we pop fans want acrobatic combat our complaint about the last game wasnt the style it was that the combat was too easy and inomplete feeling, like it wasnt an important part of the game just sort of added on. this one is even worse with hardly any combos and no real challenge to the combat at all. pop i about acrobatics AND combat and both should be very challenging, throw on top of that the puzzles and shazam you have a kick ass game. so am i the only one that feels this way?
No you're not the only one. I agree 2008's PoP wasn't perfect but it did ooze with the potential of something that could have been great. But let's be real they did it to cash in on the movie nothing more nothing less. I think they need to go back and see what clicked with the SoT trilogy... Urrr... I mean quadrilogy and carry over what worked... NOT continue it. BAD CALL Ubisoft.
Definitely a tie-in to the movie. They were given the street date for the movie and tried to finish a game within that time and failed. Really wish they continue with the new prince story, since epilogue left even more bigger questions open.
