Truth is, I haven't read the book yet, I just came here to see if there is an ebook version that I could download off the internet.

It seems most of my friends have read the book, and they all worship it. But one comment I've heard from one friend is that the author doesn't portray himself very accurately. Straus has the word-craft to write a fascinating book. The charisma to hang out with celebraties. But, according to my friend, portray's himself as a normal loser just like you or me.

He describes himself very accurately in the book. The point is, he changes from a normal loser to being charismatic.

Yes, yes, Neil Strauss was a nerd. WE ALL GET THAT. But before going through his transformation he was already a multiple times NEW YORK TIMES BEST SELLING AUTHOR THAT WROTE BOOKS FOR FAMOUS ROCK N ROLL BANDS AND JENNA JAMESON PORNO STAR AND WROTE ARTICLES FOR ROLLING STONE AND I DONT KNOW WHY I AM DOING ALL CAPITAL LETTERS Because I hate that and it's annoying but my humble point is dude was already a HUGE effing success.

Now, the book is fantastic. But it should be realized that Neil Strauss was not only already wealthy and successful, but had more money than many, many of us and success in a highly competitive industry that countless hundreds of thousands aspire to and NEVER in their wildest dreams will get near. Again best selling author, hangs out with rock n roll bands, ETC.

What *amazes* me is that despite all that he still sucked. He really must have been one hell of a nerd. TOO smart for his own good. Seems you'd sort of get laid despite yourself with that success. Like a dude from a band your hanging around would give you his leftovers (gross) or introduce you...

I have issues deeper than Neil's and also more simple. But as for hooking up with "9"s and "10"s, that's another story.

2 cents said it well. This is a good book. Well worth reading. you can download it on kindle (you mentioned you want an ebook). The book is entertaining, true and has lots of useful lessons mixed into.

However Neil did leave a couple of important details out of the book. When he discovered the community, Neil was a total nerd who barely ever had sex. But he was also best-selling author, who was friends with rock stars and he was worth hundreds of thousands (if not millions) of dollars. Despite all his success, Neil could not get laid to save his life.

In other words, Neil was the perfect guy to learn game. He was the perfect student. He already had many attractive qualities, he merely lacked confidence and seduction skills. Once he learned those skills, he was unstoppable. Regular guys may not experience the same levels of success that he did (at least not so quickly) because they do not have the levels of success in other areas that he had already achieved.
