It has a hole for a thermometer though does not come with one.

This absolutely has a venting hole and two latches which are only to be used when transporting food, not when cooking. I think the hole is a good idea as it allows some moisture to escape and you can end up with a less soupy stew.

Yes, it has one small vent hole. I was leary about it not being sufficient, but when I used it, the vent works fine.

yes..rubber lined but you still should not cook in latched position.

Yes, it has one small vent hole on one side in the center of the lid.

Yes, it has one small rubber lined vent hole on one side of the lid in the center. The lock down is to be used for storage or transporting only.
