I have only used it with very light fabric and it works. Not site it would work with wool however .

I have used Misty fuse with my wool applique projects. However, it is very light so you will need to be careful when handling and stitch them as soon as possible to avoid it lifting or moving. I find it hold enough for me to machine blanket stitch my wool pieces fine. I like it because of its light weight.
