This is a router, it is OS independent so yes it will work with Windows 8, Windows 7, Mac OSX, Linux, etc. once of course your OS complies with the basics of the TCP/IP protocols and the relevant RFCs.

It will work with Windows 8 but I threw my NEW EA 2700 in the trash and bought a Netgear. Linksystems really went down hill plus if you buy their online software, they have hidden in the terms of agreement that you agree they can monitor your computer. Must be trying to help big brother.

yes. tcp/ip v4 has not changed. and you can configure it from a web browser, that is how I configured mine. as to whether the automated config program works, I don't know. but if you have one non window 8 platform, you don't care.

Hi S. Harrington.

Yes this router would work with the newer operating systems such as Windows 8 and Mac OSX 10.8. Just make sure that the network adapter (wired or wireless) on that computer is installed and working properly. To know more about the EA2700, please follow this link to our support site:

Thanks.

I have a Mac, so I'm not sure if it works with Windows 8.
