You cannot download software directly to a Chromebook since it does not support native apps. HOWEVER if you have a pc or Mac connected to the Internet you can download the software there then use Chrome remote desktop (this is included with all Chromebooks, it is very easy to set up and works well) which allows you to access you pc or Mac applications (such as HGTV) on you Chromebook. To set this up you open chrome on your pc that you have the software (HGTV) on and go to the chrome Web store. Then search chrome remote desktop. Once you download that to your pc click enable remote access, which will allow you to create a pin (note you must be logged on as an administrator to allow this). Once you've created a pin and completed that you may open chrome remote desktop (again this is pre installed on all Chromebooks) and click access pc. Then enter the pin you created and your Chromebook will basically mirror your pc output, allowing you to run any apps and software you've downloaded to your pc, from your Chromebook. Hope this helps.
