KERNER SAVED MY LOVE LIFE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! HE'S BRILLIANT!!!!!, January 28, 2009
This review is from: Love in the Time of Colic: The New Parents' Guide to Getting It On Again (Paperback)
I'm a new mommy (Wendy was born a massive, beautiful eight pounds seven ounces in May), and I'll be frank: my sex drive was feeling a little under the weather. Every time my husband George (a firefighter, so hardworking and such a catch) would come home from work, he'd stuff the leftovers into his mouth, climb into bed with me, and then he'd give me that nudge. Ladies, you know what nudge I'm talking about - the "let's make love" nudge. But I was exhausted and feeling just plain unsexy from chasing Wendy around all day. So I'd just fall asleep and leave Frank unsatisfied. To quote the Love Guru himself - and not Mike Meyers, but Ian Kerner - "foreplay had become chore-play."
THEN one day I read Love In The Time of Colic - I was a huge fan of his last book, Passionista: The Empowered Woman's Guide To Pleasuring a Man, so I figured, what the heck, I'll check it out. And EVERYTHING CHANGED!!! Kerner's sex tips are super easy to follow, and most of them are emotionally driven, as well, so you can start your changes from the inside out. Little changes made all the difference: after reading Love In The Time Of Colic, I'm a changed woman. When I push Wendy's stroller around there's a sexy sashay in my step; once I put Wendy to bed I immediately start to light some candles and run a hot bath. What can I say, Kerner: you've changed my life!!!!!!! This advice is so indispensible, truly a must-read for any couple. I immediately bought it for all my friends who aren't single!!!! (And when they eventually get married, you know what their baby shower gift will be!)
Thanks to Ian Kerner, Wendy's little brother is on his way. A MUST-HAVE!

So glad I read this book!, February 2, 2009
This review is from: Love in the Time of Colic: The New Parents' Guide to Getting It On Again (Paperback)
This book is a must-read for anyone who who is married with kids. My wife and I are both 42 and we're blessed with two fantastic kids, ages 7 and 14 months. Things between us had cooled off recently (again), and while I wasn't thrilled about it, I understood that it was normal, so I accepted it. Thank God a friend of mine recommended this book to me a few weeks back! It honestly has initiated a huge change in my life and my relationship with my wife. I realized that things didn't have to be that way! I can still be just as passionate with my wife as I was in college when we both went to the same school and I'd blow off studying to spend an amazing night with her in her apartment. I wake up everyday now for work looking forward to the night that lies ahead. This is the happiest I've been in years. I've even started going to the gym again so I can get back into shape and look good for my wife! This book has been a breath of fresh air for me. If you've come to expect less pleasure and enjoyment from your life with your spouse since you've had kids, you gotta give it a read.

Kerner has once again resolidified his title as "The Sex-Doctor to Generations X & Y"!!!, January 28, 2009
This review is from: Love in the Time of Colic: The New Parents' Guide to Getting It On Again (Paperback)
I was a strapping, 20 something year old who thought of himself as somewhat of a legend when it came time for bedroom stories at the bar. Needless to say, I felt I was a seasoned veteran, far ahead of my competition young or old. Not a pornstar, but close. One day a highly respected colleague in my field of expertise said, "Dave read this book, there is something every man can take from this short read that will elevate your manly skills to an even higher level." Ha, that was the funniest thing I had heard all YEAR!
Dr. Ian Kerner's- She Comes First: the Thinking Man's Guide to Pleasuring a Woman, changed my life and quickly got me a gorgeous girlfriend who could not get enough of me. So for the next Valentine's Day, I paid it forward and bought her, my soon to be fiance and wonderful wife, a little book called- He Comes Next: the Thinking Woman's Guide to Pleasuring a Man. Again, Kerner changed my life!
Nearly, three years and two children later I found myself at an all time low. Davey Jr. and his little sister, Ashley are amazing and amazingly difficult. The many stresses of married life had really taken their toll on my sex life and overall happiness. Just when I thought I was doomed for a boring married life til death do us part, the great Doc struck gold again. Love in the Time of Colic, is his latest masterpiece. I bought a his and hers copy and my dwindling sex life has once again been restored. Sadly, I have learned I am not the legend, Dr. Ian Kerner- you my friend are the legend!
We married couples know, sex can make or break any marriage. You want a long, strong, healthy sex life & marriage as opposed to a short, shriveled, soon to be divorced relationship, right? Recession or not, this book is the best $15 any married human being can spend and also can not afford to live without!
Your #1 fan,
Dave
PS. I can not wait for the kids to go to college and Dr. Kerner's next book hopefully targeting middle-aged married couples dealing with mid-life crisis and plenty of alone time at home...ha I will be patient!
