Editorial Reviews

Product Description

This text is suitable for any undergraduate course in which students write papers using the MLA documentation style. Primarily designed as a supplementary text for freshman composition courses, it also could be used as a supplement in any upper division literature course. Using model citations, THE SCHWARTZ GUIDE gives clear examples and explanations of exactly how to create a correct citation. This makes the text very useful for beginning students unfamiliar with MLA style documentation and for students documenting sources they have never before been asked to document. THE SCHWARTZ GUIDE contains two complete model research papers written by actual students with sidebar annotations to explain the important features of each paper. Unlike other MLA guides, the text explains how to write literary analysis papers and general topic papers.

5.0 out of 5 stars This book makes using MLA documentation easy., August 26, 1999
By A Customer
The Schwartz Guide to MLA Documentation truly makes using MLA documentaion easy. It was clearly written by someone who knows MLA documentation well and has a good sense of what anyone using this documentation style needs to know. The two model student papers included in the book are well-written and especially useful for beginning students. I highly recommend this book. It really tells you everything you need to know about writing a research paper using MLA documentation in a very easy to understand and straightforward style.
