I am a TA in a class that uses this book and I cringe every time I am asked to prepare an activity based on these debates. While the editors have chosen an interesting set of topics, the positions are poorly argued and leave students frustrated. Better articles on all of these topics can be found in the major journals.

I purchased this book for a class on child psychology for my major in elementary education. I wasn't too impressed. If you are a teacher considering using this book for a class, I strongly recommend that you save your students' money and just have them research online.
