. The text is set up for a course on nutrition as the author teaches at Slippery Rock University but can be an excellent resource for the student, consumer, or person of any age. It is just full of useful hints, scenerios for each chapter, sample menus, including ethnic, multicultural foods and the colorful boxes and tables really add to the aesthetics of this text. These additions make it above and beyond the average college nutrition textbook for the same amount of money.

The text is user friendly and for the average American rather than a graduate level student. A must have for the nutritional conscious adult , or a professor who wants valuable resources. (The instructor packet comes with a test bank, transparencies, videos, newsletter, and dietary analysis software.)
