5.0 out of 5 stars Great Networking Book, December 18, 2007
I had the priviledge of taking a class from the author of this book. It's the most comprehensive look at networking a beginner could ever hope to find. If you want to learn a lot about networking and cut a lot of the fat, this book is for you.

5.0 out of 5 stars A winning classroom text indeed, November 15, 2008
By Midwest Book Review (Oregon, WI USA) - See all my reviews
College-level computer libraries strong in topics of computer networking and IT configuration need the 2nd updated edition of NETWORKING. It provides basic knowledge of computer networks up to advanced concepts in Ethernet networks and routers, covering everything from theory to installation and protection issues. Net-challenge software provides a simulated, hands-on experience in such exercises, and the protocol analyzer software included with the text uses demos to reinforce written examples. A winning classroom text indeed.

3.0 out of 5 stars Good book but pretty basic
The book was a good book but had a lot of basic information in it and a lot of the information was dated. Good beginning book.
