This is by far the best textbook explaining the difficult subject of macroeconomics. It includes numerous applications to the real life economy with a lot of info on the Great Depression and the current economic crisis. Sure economics is tough, but this textbook is the best out there for explaining macroeconomic theory and applying it to actual economic events.

I taught using Dornbusch and Fischer's text in 1980. I thought it was a better text. However Gordon's text is good, in my opinion, and it is much more current.

What's the point of having an Etextbook when it doesn't come with the MyEconLab code to use for the homework. MOST teachers use the codes and now I have to buy it through the school. Textbooks in the US are so highly regulated it's stupid. Go to ANY other country and the textbooks are at least half the price.
