Not only did I enjoy the stories, I was extremely happy with the introduction of some new vocabulary to my four year old. Words I've rarely seen in preschool/kindergarten books: encouragement, scrumptious, polygon, radiant, and glorious just to name a few. I also enjoy the fact that Mr. and Mrs. Green are a happily married couple. My parents were divorced when I was young and I just like the "old fashioned" thought of two people, married, enjoying each others' company. LOL

I adore the Mr and Mrs Green series! Not only sweet, imaginative stories, but incredibly beautiful to introduce my children to the wonderful world of a happily married couple! These stories make for a very happy story time!

These chapter books have been created for ages 4 - 8 by Keith Baker who was an elementary school teacher for 7 years before he started writing books. Mr. and Mrs. Green are two happily married alligators who have many wonderful adventures! There are 3 stories in each book and in this book the stories are: Camping, 100 pancakes and County Fair. The 100 pancake book would be a cute story for the 100 day of school because Mr. Green wants to eat 100 pancakes one day and the does with the help of his wife! What is also cool about the book is that there is math thrown in to the story which is also neat!

My daughter enjoys the stories and the illustrations are just too cute! Both boys and girls will fall head over tails in love with Mr. and Mrs. Green!

This is the 1st book in this series which includes:
Book 2 - More Mr. & Mrs. Green
Book 3 - Lucky Days with Mr. & Mrs. Green
Book 4 - On the Go with Mr. & Mrs. Green

My 4-year-old son and I discovered the Mr. and Mrs. Green books by Keith Baker at our library, and we both love them. Mr. & Mrs. Green and fun & well-created characters. I appreciate the quality & style of the writing, and I commend Mr. Baker for creating characters that show love, appreciation, kindness, & respect without it seeming obvious or fake, like so many of the worthless children's books I find. These books are NOT twaddle, & I highly recommend them!
