Kellogg's book is an extremely readable account of the issues raised by the mandated change in Residency Intern hours. Her research, done in three city hospitals, reveals varying degrees of cooperation by surgeons responsible for implementing this change and touches on the management challenges this change raised for hospitals in this study.
