This is such a fun read that you can't help but laugh as you turn the pages. This time Tara is after a minister and the repercussion of his arrest leads to some trying times for our feisty investigator as she set out to close the book on this tax cheat. In the middle of all of this, Tara is dealing with some personal issues that make this book doubly humorous and I look forward to the next book in this enjoyably entertaining series.

When Tara became a special agent with the IRS, she had hoped to just have a bit more freedom than her cubical at the accounting firm allotted her. Little did she know, the cases with all the wackos just seem to gravitate to her at the IRS. This time, she's got two cases of crazies -- a secessionists group who believe they are exempt from the laws of the US, and a televangelist who has been preaching one life but living another -- a life of complete privilege thanks to the pocketbooks of his followers.

While juggling these two cases, Tara's fearless boss -- the Lobo -- is stuck at home while she undergoes chemo for lung cancer. The treatments have caused the Lobo to lose her trademark strawberry-blonde beehive (emphasis on the strawberry) -- can Tara keep her promise to find Lu the perfect replacement wig?

To top it all off, Tara finds herself partnered with Nick Pratt -- the Hottie McHottie of the IRS -- who she can't help but be attracted to. Can she resist Nick's come-ons and stay faithful to Brett?

Diane Kelly has another 5-star winner with this third installment to her series. She developed a wonderful plot that kept me guessing, and kept surprising me! Her character development was also spot on -- I especially loved her attention to detail in the subplot about Lu and how her character changed throughout her cancer treatments. As always, I identified with Tara like she was my kindred spirit, a strong but still flawed young woman who knows how to handle her firearms!

I can't wait until the next installments in 2013!

Tara Holloway continues her pursuit to bring in the tax evaders whatever way necessary. Her partner these days is very Special Agent Nick who is a walking eye orgasm and way too much temptation for Tara. Being in a committed relationship to a great guy makes her behave, but it is not easy.

Chasing down the crazies who set up their own Nation and bringing a minister to his knees for more than a prayer group are every day events. Tara may get caught in the strangest circumstances but she does know her way home with or without Nick too close for comfort.

When the preacher does a great bob and weave away from the long arm of the law, Tara and Nick decide this is not a closed case. Undercover pursuit, long hours on surveillance, and chasing down a man too slick for his own good is just in a day's work. At some point Tara is going to have to decide whom the future looks brighter with and that is not going to be a walk in the park.

Diane Kelly knows how to rock the romance, and roll the story right into a delightful mix of high drama with great characters.

I really really love this series. There's not one book that I haven't loved. Each story is fun, well written, and you gotta love Tara and her gun, that gets her in trouble every time.

So funny, witty and cute, full of action with some romance and mystery thrown in.

Tara Holloway is a special gun-toting IRS agent. She (and her co-workers) get the really hard cases. In this book Lu Lobozinsky, her boss is out of the office fighting lung cancer, and Eddie, Tara's regular partner is in charge of the office, which leaves Tara without a partner. She has been given two particularly challenging cases, one a minister who's using his mega-church as a tax shelter, and the other is a radical militant separatist who's trying to turn Texas into a separate country. Nick Pratt is the only agent free to be her partner, the only problem with him is he's the sexiest agent in the office (probably in the entire state). Tara's involved with Brett, who just happens to get a job out of town for a month. Tara has also promised Lu an wig to replace her own rapidly falling beehive. What's a nice IRS agent to do? I love this series, it is laugh-out-loud funny, with characters that jump off the page. I'm eagerly waiting for the next book.
