Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
I'm a Photoshop (PS) beginner enrolled in a college PS course. It seems every book I've looked through and all the online tutorials assume you already use PS or are at least familiar with a previous edition. I bought this book because it gets down to the nuts and bolts of PS, telling me what each tool does and how. For me, this goes a long way in making something as complicated and non-intuitive as PS more understandable. The Kelby books are outstanding and nobody knows PS like him, but memorizing a series of steps without understanding them bugs me. Now I can learn the finer points of each tool, filter, whatever, and when I go back to my Kelby books, stuff makes more sense.
