My kids use the approach in this book to learn writing sentences and paragraphs. They start to pay attention to patterns in books they read and naturally write sentences that model after their favorite authors. This is how we used to learn writing, by reading and modeling after great writers. This book makes it more systematic and transparent process for children.

I was tired of the same old approach to grammar. I've used both this text and Killgallon's sentence approach. Effective and engaging!

To anyone considering buying this book, just do it. Killgallon's books are worth it. The past perfect tense exists for a reason. Failure to recognize this is absurd. Still want to argue? Pick up and copy of Elements of Style, read it, and shut up.
