I bought the book yesterday afternoon and kept reading it until 11pm. I couldn't tear myself away from it and had to finish it right there and then. Many times, I was in tears... This book is a must read for everyone. In spite of where the world is going nowadays, we all should care about one another. This book completely changed my view about the homeless people. I understand them more and won't ever pass them by without giving them something they can use, and look them in the eye. Romana Volny

I have been a faithful reader of Danielle Steel for years and have read everything she has written. I was so surprised that she worked so hard for the homeless. Made me think highly of her as a person as well as a writer. The book was very well written and kept my interest right to the end. Makes you thing of how lucky we are and that it could happen to anyone.

I've been reading DS since I was 15 years old and have always enjoyed her books. While the fact that this mega wealthy author focused on the homeless population for decade is certainly admirable, I found the tone in the book to be off. It was interesting to read about the plight of the some of the individuals she encountered, but I wanted to know more about THEM and not more about DS. The book seemed very repetitive. Great subject matter that we all need to learn more about, but could've been written with an increased focus on the homeless individuals rather what DS did for them.

Never thought I would say I didn't enjoy a Danielle Steele book. Didn't even bother to finish it.
I felt I was reading the same thing over and over again. The first couple of pages made you think there would be a story to it. Never happened and I got halfway through the book before I gave up reading it. Very diappointed. Makes me hesitate to buy another one of her books and I've read everyone of them.

This book is about wonderful people that have the time and money to help other people out that are desparately in need. Danelle is a sincere, warm , compasionate lady that has the ability to help people in need. I give her many congrats to te work she and her friends did. I know I would appreciate what she does if I were in their positions. Thanks to Danielle.

The book is more about Danielle Steele and friends who donated items to the homeless once a month or so and their fears and efforts. It lacks stories about the homeless and relationships etc. It is terribly repetitive - she could have condensed the entire book to about 3-4 pages.

A great read written by Danielle Steel,This short story brought tears to my eyes .Don't want to give to much of the story away but If everyone was like Danielle Steel this would be a much better world. To reach out and help the less fortunate I applaud her though what she did wasn't a solution but rather went above and beyond to make sure these people were warm ,feed ,and gave them hope and for them to know someone out there cares for them and believes in them is awesome .Not all of us have the funds to do what she did but anything a pair of socks ,a hat ,gloves even one little thing even just a smile and a hug or an ear to listen to bring hope to the less unfortunate. And yes my family and I do contribute what we can to be of help my not be a lot but its something. One more thing I always save those Hotel samples of soaps shampoos etc to donate to the local shealter.

After reading Danielle Steel's "His Bright Light", I often wondered how she followed through with her commitment to mental health issues. What a surprise to realize she walked the streets of San Francisco and helped so many homeless people. Even with all her money and local connections, she realizes how little can be done. She certainly put her money to the best use for the years that she was able. I am sure the story is not over, and the gratification for all involved will be recorded in heaven above, the only place it truly counts. GOOD WORK!
