Definitely a model that addresses some of the long over looked needs of boys. Yes, I said it...needs. Not the need to stiffle emotions in a stoic "world be damned" attitude that will only later be vented in football crowds and drunken brawls...the need to manage ones emotions competently in the 21st century. These authors understand what boys need to feel safe, validated and in control of themselves. A worthy programmatic addition to any youth development library.

I got the kindle version of this on my old Kindle reader...I would not recommend the digital if you are going to use it in your work with kids unless you have a new reader that's easy to see/read and navigate through. The descriptions are fairly long and detailed.

Gives some good activities to use with boys, doesn't neccesarily speak to multiple group scenarios...
