Last year I bought this poster set and loved it! It took my class almost a week to finish and they were so proud. Fast forward to this year when I am about to reorder and I now see that these are the size of a standard sheet of copy paper. This is not a poster. Why would anybody pay that much money for a class set of copies? Plus it takes out all the fun of it because it's not big anymore. BOO. Very upset.

Last year I had my students make a "Read All About Me" poster during the first week of school. We put them up on the walls for parents to see at Back To School Night. The trick that worked with my 2nd graders is to have them do one or two sections a day. We do each section together, and stress the importance of correct spelling. When done slowly, this is not overwhelming for the kids. At the end of the year, most of the children reported that they still have their posters from the beginning of the year!

Fun activity with the grand kids. I brought there and some fun art supplies on an out of state visit with our grand children. We had a great time working on them and it gives us a way to keep up on the kids changes from year to year. There are 30 in a pack but that was no problem the extras were great to share with their friends, We were the fun grand parents for planning a cool activity. When they were completeeve had them laminated at our local staples for less than $5.00. We are,creating a wall of fame, in our guest room for the kids to enjoy when they visit. We plan to do a different (style) poster each year with the kids thanks to Amazon having many different designs available.

I attempted to use these in a 2nd grade classroom during the first week of school. It was a bit of a disaster as they are a bit to advanced for this age.
The posters were great and provided a lot of room and prompts for the students to share about themselves in writing and coloring. However, in my classroom I found that the students were unable to read or understand some of the prompts thus they were lost and unable to complete the poster without a lot of one on one help. We ended up abandoning them. That being said these would be great for an older grade, maybe 4th and up. They would be a great get to know each other activity and allow for great lesson building from them such as a get to know your peer scavenger hunt or a game of who is like me.
The posters themselves were really well made of high quality paper and dark print so they could be read from a distance. They are very large so if you have a lot of students be aware that you are going to need a lot of wall space if you plan to display these posters.
