Format: Paperback Verified Purchase
Step 1: Buy the book used here at Amazon (I paid $5 for one in almost new condition).

Step 2: Buy the lab code directly from Wiley for ~$85.

Step 3: Create a new Live.com email address and password.

Step 4: Split the labs with 2 or 3 classmates and share the cost of the labs. Just send the email address and password to the others that have split the cost with you. You will not all be able to log on to the labs at the same time of course but I have yet to have an issue with everyone not being able to get the labs done every week.

I ordered the Book for my class that I have this quarter from Amazon because it has outstanding prices on the everything and I couldn't pas the deal on this book. I have years of experience supporting publications technology. I've been around authors and text for decades, and I've used countless technology reference books in my long career.

Now I am taking a course for which this is the required textbook.

This is one of the worst textbooks I've ever seen.

It's absurdly wordy, and the diagrams/graphics are there as a mere token. They are a complete joke in a text that absolutely screams for informative diagrams. A month into the course, I got so frustrated with the rambling, unfocused text that I just started searching the web, and almost immediately found vastly more succinct and informative material for free.

I would *gladly* have traded imperfect prose to have a text written by an Active Directory geek who understood why AD is designed the way it and was willing to simply write that and not try make a novel out of it.

There's no excuse for a text this poor being the *Official* Academic Course.

Sign me fed up with Wiley and Micro$oft.
