I couldn't resist a picture book about dogs and designer chairs, two of my favorite things. I got some of the comparisons immediately, but what I really love is that some of the comparisons took some study and took some time to "get." I found the artwork charming, and seeing the different breeds of dogs and the different famous chairs had a museum-like quality for me. Very nice information about the charis and the breeds at the back of the book.

Bought this for my friends who LOVE their bulldog and are obsessed with designer chairs, so this book was pretty much made for them. The cover has an awesome, tactile illustration, and I hoped that the book would be full of different dogs sitting in different chairs like the cover. However, the contents of the book are juxtapositions of an illustration of a dog and separately an illustration of the chair. If only the dogs were IN the chairs!! Great illustrations though.

I really enjoyed this book! It’s a very quick read (it only has 60 pages or so), but it's really unique and interesting to compare dog breeds to different chair designs, I actually liked it a lot more than I thought I would and I would love to see another book comparing more dog breeds to another kind of furniture!

The actual physical book is made out of a very interesting paper, it reminds me of recycled paper, and the illustrations almost look like they are 3D, they look like they aren’t flat on the page.

One of my favorite things about the book is the fact that the last few pages have information on the chairs, like who designed them, what year they were made, and the material. It also has information on all the dogs like how big they are, what country they originated from, and temperaments. It's the little details like that that I think really set this book apart.

I liked this book enough that I’m contemplating buying it as a gift for friends! I definitely recommend this book for anyone look for a unique coffee table book, or a quirky gift.
