This book is part of the You Wouldn't Want to Be series, published by Scholastic, Inc. Like all of the books in the series, this one has lots of brightly colored illustration and gobs of great, off-beat humor. This book tells you all about being an ancient Greek athlete – everything from training through the stadium where the competitions will be held, the competitions themselves, and what it means to be a winning Greek athlete!

Yeah, this is a fun book, one that tells the true story of being a Greek athlete, but in a fun and funny manner that makes the book a real joy to read. So, if you have an older child or young adult who wants to read a definitely not-dry book on ancient history, then steer him or her to You Wouldn't Want to Be a Greek Athlete!...they’ll thank you later!
