This is the type of book that will keep you coming back for more. You can easily cook and craft your way through the entire thing! Each page more beautiful than the next. Perfect for those who appreciate simple recipes that inspire. Gorgeous images, tasteful DIY ideas, and fantastic fuss-free show-stopping recipes! I've already made the roasted chicken with olives and lemon; perfection. It's made it into my weekly rotation. World's Best Cake is up next!

Paul Lowe has gathered a collection of his recipes, crafts, and personal stories that reads more like a memoir than a Do-It-Yourself handbook. Though I am no cook, I am committed to attempting several dishes based solely on their simple yet unexpected combination of ingredients. His craft ideas also use common, everyday items but yield elegant and charming results. His personal recollections provide insight into his creativity and motivation and set this work apart from so many others in the genre. The book itself is a work of art. From the photography and typefaces to the layout and hand of the paper, no detail is left unattended. Whether you are a serious cook and/or crafter or simply have a interest in enjoying the small pleasures in life, this book is a must for your library.

We all love Sweet Paul! From his wonderful blog to his gorgeous magazine and now to his book - the name says it all, Sweet Paul.

His recipes challenge your taste buds to accept new and different flavors together in the same dish.

His crafts are so clever and so easy - most are great to do with children. To almost all of them I ask myself "Why didn't I think of that?

His pictures of residences and environments capture a scene and somehow just provoke the creative spirit.

I cannot stop looking through this book. I plan to make a dinner from it every week ... and cannot decide where to start. All of the recipes look and sound delicious. I was highly impressed by Sweet Paul's Winter 2013/2014 magazine, so much so that I immediately ordered the book before release as well as a one year subscription to his magazine. disappointed in both. There are 2 or 3 recipes of interest but outside of that that this book seems to be geared more towards young women who are looking for an elementary and simpler approach than Martha Stewart. The crafts to me seem frivolous at best and a step up from elementary school arts and crafts. It went immediately in the donation pile. For the record, I cooked almost everything out of his Winter 2013/2014 magazine. For the other two issues that have shown up at my door, they have gotten a quick and disappointing flip threw then put out with recycling. Sorry Sweet Paul, I truly wanted to be a supporter of you. I wish you the best!

I adore everything Sweet Paul. I really wanted to love this book, but the crafts were not what I had hoped (I'm trying to be really nice here). I'm not a picky crafter, but most of these I would never set out in my home, or give away. A few were okay, but the stuff on his blog and mag is much nicer. The cookbook part is nice though not a lot I would personally make since I'm a vegetarian. Overall, a nice book but just not personally appealing to me as his other stuff.

Every since I made a plum cake recipe from one of the magazines I've been a grateful fan of Sweet Paul's sensibilities and recipes. So when this book came out we bought one for ourselves and a couple for friends. I'm slowly working my way through it food-wise and I have to say it's everything I expected.
