These books are kind, gentle, and even have good kids (siblings support each other)!
The illustrations are beautiful also. We own them all, and we wish there were more! My absolute favorite children's series.

I started reading the Stablemate books to my daughter when she was 5. These were a GREAT introduction to chapter books. They are well made and written and three years later she still enjoys reading them, although she doesn't need me to read them to her anymore.

My eight year old daughter can't get enough of these books. The Stablemate books are very simple stories with pleasantly meaningful and learning endings. We even like to read the "About the horses" at the end of the book.
