I really like this book. My son (age 10) uses it for his science fair projects. As a family, we love Mythbusters! The projects are easy to follow. However I wish it did not give the results they got. I want my son to figure this out for himself w/o any preconceived notions on what the end result will be. This is the only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5. It's a fun book.

A Kid's Review on January 11, 2013

I am 8. My mom is typing this review for me. I love this book so much that I can't stop reading it. My favorite part is the experiment with the Pop Rocks and the cola. I want to try "Can Cola Shine A Penny" and "Can Cola Dissolve a Human Tooth". I like the pictures and I like reading it because I bet some of the things are going to make a big explosion. I wish there were more pictures of Kari, Grant and Torry. This book is easy to read because it has small words. The best thing of all is that I've seen all the experiments on TV. People who like science and really like explosions will like this book.

I got this for my 10 y/o daughter, who is a big fan of the show. As a science teacher, I can't tell you how much I enjoy watching an episode of Mythbusters with my daughter and having her ask scientific questions (#proudpapa). This book looked like the next logical step to feed her curiosity. As fun as it is to watch Mythbusters with her, it has been INFINITELY more fun to physically bust some myths using home experiments with her.

We love the show and watch it with our kids. Got the book to for some home-school projects, but most them couldn't be done without a trip to the store for special ingredients. And the majority seemed to involve soda (pop) in some way. Not impressed with it. Meeeeh.

My son loves science experiments and watching mythbusters. So I bought him this book. He loved it. It has easy experiments for him to do on his own, and harder ones to do with help. It also will be perfect when school requires him to do a science fair project, as I have no imagination and was really dreading it!

These guys were amusing for the first two or three seasons, then not to much. Although they make an attempt to conduct empirical experiments scientifically, they often do not have large enough samples, regularly have trouble measuring results, and most of the experiments are more like demonstrations, as they know what will happen a priori. Still, there are many similar books that are not as well done.

What can I say we are talking Mythbusters. I teach third graders science at an after-school program and this is just what I was looking for. the kids are always wanting to see projects that will literally leave them breathless. Then they have a million questions and this book has all of the answers. I love it and I can't for summer to be over so I can start using it.

Cool book, my son loves looking at it and is totally excited about trying out some of the experiments. The items are easily obtained. Only set back- my son watches the show so much he already knows the outcome of some of the experiments. I can hear him muttering under his breath while looking through the book "oh that one was busted already...no point in trying that one". Still a cool book though
