This is a story by Abby Klein of two little girls and their friend that decide to play April fool's jokes on their parents and friends at school.
They go about these april fool's jokes with the help of their friend Jake at their house. The girls, Kasey and Kelly, get the ideas for the April fool's jokes from Jake and then plan to play them on their Mom, Dad,baby brother and friends at school the next day which is April fool's day. They come up with 5 ideas that they will play on their family members and also on their friends at school. They have some really clever ideas that are very funny and harmless to everyone involved. I can not mention what they are as I would give the story away and ruin the fun, but I will tell you that the teacher eventually finds out what is going on.
In the end it is all in good fun and everyone has a good laugh about April Fool's Surprise.

Great book for kids who have started to read independently and can handle small, simple chapter books, but have outgrown really basic beginner books. Got these series (Show and Tell and April Fools) for my 5.5 year old daughter and she loves them - can read on her own and much better fit than most books available at kindergarten level.
Plus the story is actually fun,quirky and easy to follow.

Funny, engaging, age appropriate books for my 8 year old twins. Ready Freddy series is also by the same author and is equally as good. These just feature twin girls, so my daughters love this particular series.
