My daughter wanted this so badly that I gave in and bought it for her, even though I was seriously concerned on how well we'd be able to actually create these items. (She already had a dress form kit with fabric that she's only gotten a little bit of enjoyment out of because she's just not old enough to be able to sew and shape dresses yet, so all her dresses have a slight towel look to them. Also, we've tried two beginner origami kits with only a tiny bit of success.)

This kit is awesome, though! Step by step illustrated directions. The templates are durable and easy to use. A nice variety of looks to create. The supplies to refill it are inexpensive and easy to obtain. We've been using scrapbooking paper because there are so many patterns, you can make pretty much any look you can dream up. It's just a lot of fun, and I can see her playing with this for years.

We love this kit! Durable plastic pattern pieces with darts are used to trace and cut out panels from included beautiful patterned papers, which are then assembled with paper glue to make tiny 3-D paper women's fashion dresses.

My eight year old worked diligently for half a day, mostly unaided, and made three really charming dresses on the first day. From our experience your kid will need patience, high fine motor skills, basic 3rd grade reading skills to do this without adult supervision.

The styles in the kit are very classic and simple, the silhouettes provided are somewhat retro. With 18 pattern pieces and a stencil you get a pencil skirt, various fitted bodices and sleeves, an A-line skirt and a ballgown skirt that can all be combined endlessly. There is also a long coat, two styles of high heeled shoes and a couple of purses that can be made. The accompanying book of instructions and ideas is wonderfully designed.

The patterns are too big for Barbie type dolls but seem perfect to fit the Tonner Little Miss Matched dolls, we will probably try using these cute little patterns to make some fabric dresses next!

My girls age 8 and 10 totally loved this... it helped me teach them about patterns and darts and construction... and it kept them quite and busy for a full day. I think this was a great choice but they went shopping in my scrapbook paper box for more fabric(paper) for their designs.

I bought this for my fourth and fifth grade nieces. They LOVE it and I LOVE making things with them! It was the only gift they actually played with on Christmas day.

Fun patterns, easy to follow directions. Great supplies. The glue is fabulous. You just need a microscopic drop and it holds the paper without having to hold the paper together for minutes at a time to dry.

It is a perfect mix of imagination and reality.

My daughter has been making amazing items with this kit and is fully engaged. The patterns and instructions are so well done that she is able to create many designs without frustration, and is so proud of what she creates. She is 7 1/2 and this has been our best art set in a long time!

Today is my first day using this product. I love it! From a 12 year old who gets easily bored, this is very entertaining! I'm planning on giving one of these to my friend for her 16th birthday. Although this is surprisingly easy, it's not something 'little kiddish' at all. I've always loved fashion design, but am horrible at cutting out paper fashions, so this is perfect! The instructions are very easy, and the patterns on the paper is to die for! I love this kit so much! Please purchase!
