I am an avid Debbie Macomber fan, having read 90 percent her current books published as e books. I preordered this and it arrived two days ago. I found the story Intriguing and different. I really liked her character development and for most part the story itself. However not close to one of my favorite books. It ended ubruptly , I sat their and felt unsatisfied. Overall I feel like this is Sadly not close to the caliber of her usual books. It needed a longer ending, more development of her main characters. I don't want to give anything away but even the main story line got resolved with no explanation. I feel like this book got rushed to complete for publication date .

I love Debbie Macomber's Christmas novels. There have been years when it's her stories that get me into the Christmas spirit or remind me what I'm really celebrating. That said, this story could have been so much better if it got rid of the FBI part of the storyline, which I just found annoying and ridiculous, and focused on the budding romance between Ashley and Dash. I would have loved to read about an in-person interaction between Ashley and Dash's mom. They had more chemistry in the first half of the book than the main characters did. The story felt rushed at times and I really would have enjoyed a little more time with the couple. That sassy edge Mrs. Macomber gives her female characters was less present in this book, showing up only a few times, like in the name of the adorable little puppy, Little Blade.

Last year's Mr. Miracle had the same disapointing feel to me. A little rushed with not nearly enough of a story. I almost wonder if the Hallmark Channel will be premiering the movie Dashing Through the Snow this December. Mrs. Macomber has set the standard for warm romantic Christmas stories, I almost wish I had reached for an old favorite like The Christmas Basket, Christmas Letters, Starry Night, or any of the Angels books. With so many truly good books from this author, it's easy to overlook the more "meh" offerings, but I really hope her next attempt is up to par with the older holiday stories. I wish there was less emphasis on pushing out a book and/or movie every year and instead, a focus on a truly good, heartwarming story,

I think sometimes when writers are as prolific as Debbie Macomber, that a break is a good idea. There was nothing about this book that I liked. There was no need for the FBI part of the story. This book was a waste of paper and I would recommend to everyone that they not buy this book. It was just a weak effort.

Ashley Davison is desperate to get home to Seatlle to surprise her mom for Christmas. There is one little problem. There are no flights available and she doesn't know what to do next. Dashiell Sutherland has a very important interview in Seattle and has to be on a plane by December 23rd or his chances of getting the job are gone. What a predicament these two strangers are in. What will they decide to do to reach their destination?

As Ashley makes a mad rush to rent a car, Dash is right behind her with the same idea. As luck would have it, there is only one car available. Through a series of arguments and insults, Ashley and Dash decide to share the car so they can both get to Seattle on time. The story starts off with a few laughs as Ashley and Dash adjust to each other. I couldn't figure out the FBI story and how it made any sense in the storyline. It seemed almost like an afterthought to put an unbelievable supposed terrorist in the storyline to make it intriguing. When I started reading about a man who was helping Ashley and Dadh repair their car I almost closed the book. He is described as having an alien for a wife and believes he was abducted by other aliens. Now I know that I could not connect with this story.

I was really hoping to see more character development between Ashley and Dash. We find out very little about them and their relationship seemed very rushed. It was hard to believe that a young woman would agree to share a car with a total stranger and not be terrified. I am a big fan of the author's books, but this one just did not live up to her usual amazing writing.

Not one of my favorite Debbie Macomber books. I usually enjoy her books, but this one was too short for the money that I paid. I would definitely ask for a refund. The storyline was totally predictable, and totally unbelievable. I think if this was a longer book, the characters could have developed a little better. Sorry, but I feel this book was a hurry up and get one out for the holidays to make a buck.

I love Debbie Macomber' s books but this one was a terrible waste of money. The constant bickering and dumb fighting was awful. Nothing funny about the book and very poorly written. Sorry I had to give a low rating but this book was horrible!!

I have read many of Debbie Macomber's books in the past and enjoyed them but this book is just plain stupid. I kept reading thinking it had to get better but it didn't. It was a total waste of money and I wish I had not bought it and probably won't buy another one of her books.

I usually like Debbie Macomber's books, but this was one of the dumbest books I have read in awhile. The plot was ridiculous. I felt like she was just going through the motions because she needed to come up with this year's X-mas novel, but couldn't think of anything better to write.
