"A Tree is Growing" is a well-written, informative books for kids as young as 4 or 5. I used it with my 5 1/2-year-old daughter as part of our science curriculum. Each page contains enough information to fill an entire lesson, yet the facts are easy to read and interesting enough to keep a child's attention. My daughter still talks about this book, and it has been months since we borrowed it from the library. I'm actually buying it for her birthday!

Happy librarian - needed book found here! Hope the teachers and students are happy with them, too! The only downside is that I must catalogue them myself, but it is worth the time and effort to be able to get materials not available elsewhere at these prices!

I was unaware it was for lower grade children. Nice book for 2 nd graders, but not thrilling reading. A good snooze.
