Grade 2-4-- Artie Jensen, a nine-year-old with a wild imagination , is off for a visit with Grandpa Noonie. Artie and his alter ego, Dino Boy, can't wait for a weekend of baseball, but before long, strange things start to happen at the grandfather's house. Artie encounters Ghost Dog, an invisible pug that only he can see and hear. At first the animal gets the boy in trouble, but he soon proves to be invaluable. The twosome stumble into adventure when they solve the mystery of a stolen rookie baseball card. Leroe has created entertaining, believable characters. Accompanied by funny black-and-white drawings, the story is full of humorous scenes that will delight readers with its slapstick style while appealing to mystery buffs as well.
