First things first: FINALLY an IR book that actually felt like a BOOK and not a novella!!! The book is long, VERY long. At some ponts I wanted it to just be over yet was enjoying it too much to have that really be so. I felt like this book could (should) be made into a movie. Sienna's storytelling in this work is unmatched, not certain I have found an IR book that goes this indepth! I love Latrivia Nelson's works but this book even supersedes most if not all of her stuff, as far as detail and character development goes.

With all this said, at points it seemed that Liam was PAINFULLY dense and bullheaded. Maybe Sienna wanted to write a truly human character... Maybe she wanted to put a real face on PTSD. Either way if you are looking for a spotless/perfect Hero, Liam will not be that for you.On the other hand Kennedy was an amazing heroine and I admired her character the entire book. She was authentic and I found myself identfying with her and cheering her on the entire book. The supporting characters added so much to the story. I was amazed at the development that Sienna dedicated to even them. Many times supporting characters in IR novels seems unneeded and distracting, this is not the case here!

I felt the "second husband" situation with Phil might have been handled differently, maybe not bring discarded so easily... But the way Sienna approaches it adds a tone of truthfulness to the love that Kay and Liam shared. The book has just enough depth (and pages) to fully flesh out this particular storyline! Also the flashbacks work well to fill in the holes to the present storyline.

Fellow IR readers this is a great book with outstanding writing... If more of Sienna's books flowed like this she could easily jump Giselle Charmichael, Latrivia Nelson and Mallory Monroe as my favorite authors!

Buy this, but also review it! This book deserves feedback for being so well done!

I finished this book and it took me longer to read than usual because of one part and my being scared of the results - concerning Phil and what he was hoping for. I was on pins and needles and didn't want to know the outcome.

With that being said. I do not need to know what the books is about as long as she writes it. This book is amazing and should be made into a movie. With all the lame movies being made these days and no one of color in them unless it's a nowhere role this would be great. You have many people of color that have substance, drama, romance, common sense and suspense for a change. Would show us in a positive lite. Yes it is I/R but no emphasis is placed on that. You are reading about people and that is all that you are aware of after the descriptions are given. The book is too good! What will she come up with next? I have a few that I haven't read yet but got them as soon as they came out. Downloaded to my kindle but now I have the Kindle Fire and that is better.

Only one negative comment - "an okay read"! Really? Maybe they should read it again. I plan to in a few months to get another prospective of great writing.

I think this woman is the best writer to come along in ages.

I'm her NUMBER 1 FAN!!!

I was very hesitant in buying this book. The thought of one woman being caught between two men, one a war hero, was an immediate turn off; however, I decided to take a chance and I am so happy that I did so. It was nothing like what I expected or dreaded that it would be. Without doubt, one of the best romance stories for all time! This book deserves 10 stars!! Ms. Mynx, you have done it again!!!! One incredible love story!!

In my humble opinion, this is one of Sienna Mynx's best stories! The story of enduring love between Navy SEAL Liam and his young wife Kennedy, is heart wrenching, sweet, and powerful. In a novel length book, the author gives you romance in the form of Liam and Kennedy's young courtship, marriage, and reunited love that continues to endure after a 5 year POW/KIA stint. You also get drama, as only this author can give it, with a new husband thrown into the mix, as well as meddlesome friends and family. Throughout the story my emotions were up and down, and all around, and as I have stated in other reviews, this is what I want, and need. A good story needs to elicit a response from the reader, and this one surely does. You will feel angst and heartbreak for Liam as he tries to get his life and family back, but you will also get mad at his bullheaded ways. You will cheer for Kennedy as she makes some difficult decisions, and stands by her husband. Make no mistake about it though, she loved Liam, and Liam loved Kennedy with everything in him, the love between them was sweet and sexy. I rooted for them to make it through all of the obstacles, and I don't want to spoil anything, but you know this kind of love has to make it, and it does!

Kennedy is married to Liam and is pregnant when he leaves on a covert mission. The op goes wrong and all his buddies return while Liam is presumed dead. Five years later, he's rescued. Why did it take our government that long to gather information of his detention and then send a team in to rescue him? Especially since they did not have a body which would be proof positive the man had been killed and not MIA. In the years her husband is missing, Kennedy is pursued by a man who is crazy about her. The year before Liam is found, she marries Phil, the other guy. Up until Phil learns Liam is alive, he has basically walked in the dark as far as Kennedy is concerned. And when Liam is back, allows Kennedy's mother to encourage him to continue pursuing her daughter despite his knowing how Kennedy truly feels, even after the baby scare. What distracted me was Liam's attitude, that macho 'I know I'm sick but I can deal while making everyone else miserable'. Kennedy's mother loves Phil and tries to sabotage Kennedy's reunion with Liam, I'm guessing because a white man from the wrong side of town isn't good enough for her daughter. And there's the plot to have Liam silenced because he knows too much about the op that went wrong. In the end, Kennedy has to save him. If not for the mother's biligerant distain for Liam and the female officer who was way over the top with her desire for Liam and her ability to fabricate things to get him from Kennedy, and whinny Phil, I would have liked this book more.
