This book was part of my reading to become a CBE. It took me a lot of time to finish it because the evidence and reality described were so difficult for me to accept. But I understand now and because of this reading why so many women have difficulties disclosing their depression feelings and why this isolation and loneliness. We, the others, are also part of the problem with our minimizing habits and with our arrogant "sanity". I learned a lot and was able to deconstruct a lot of false ideas and taboos that i always had regarding PPD. I feel now that eventhough I can't help personnaly, I can become a ressource to direct women with PPD and their partners toward the support that they need.

I'm hopeful there are better books out there... When I was depressed this would have been the last book I would have wanted to read. Disappointed that I wasted my $ and time

Although, I gave it 1 star since the parts addressed to dad & about dad were decent.
