5.0 out of 5 stars You need to know this stuff!, February 24, 2006
Renier offers some troubling information but based on facts. Easy to read, well documented. If you are planning to retire someday, read this book. If you are trying to hang on to some of your hard earned moola, read this book. I read his other two books which are similar in nature. Reads like a conversation over a beer with the author. Nice work, Len!! ...Gates

5.0 out of 5 stars To think like a rich man not a poor man, February 20, 2010
By Scott Walker (Fort Atkinson, Wisconsin) - See all my reviews
(REAL NAME)
This very important and insightful book, which is choke full of stats, is about controlling your money by recapturing wealth transfers. Written for the laymen with wit, Renier says "this book is about your future and how that future is going to change. And the intent of this book is to give you a clearer view of what is going to happen." Still, it is not a detailed plan, so you will need a financial advisor that is knowledgeable of the information found here. And we may need to throw out much of what we've been taught.

The government and institutions are not looking out for us and nothing is going to change unless a strong leader comes along who is willing to do what needs to be done by limiting government. So until then, we must be much more diligent with our finances, because government spending, debt, programs and taxes are out of control; we are on an unsustainable path. But it isn't just our government's fault; personal debt is a serious problem as well. As sad as it is, our investments need to be based around taxes and buying more stock is not the answer either. It looks pretty bleak, but the author has written this book to help us prepare, with solutions, for the coming disaster. The trick is to think like a rich man not a poor man. He also weeds through many misconceptions and says that "maintaining liquidity, use, and control of your money is the key to financial success". Though what should startle us is, is that this was written five years ago.
Lord bless
Scott
