5.0 out of 5 stars A Wonderful Dog Book, May 8, 2005
The dog has been man's best friend at least since the stone age. History is full of evidence of man's love for his dog and the dog's love for his master. There is good evidence that all the dogs in the world have originated from the wolf. There is evidence that wolves started to become domesticated about 135,000 years ago. The present-day dog has been domesticated for at least 14,000 years. Today there are about 132 different breeds of dogs. Dogs come in many different shapes and sizes and with varying degrees of intelligence. This book tells the story of 50 really smart dogs. The author is a veterinarian. Enjoy!
