Jungle Rumble has lovely water color-like illustrations of various jungle creatures, (obviously). The colors are quite vibrant and jump out of the page, and I think the bright colors will appeal to most babies.

I like the style of the artist, who appears to also be the creator of this series of Indestructible books along with her daughter-in-law. (Side note: The daughter-in-law is the mother of triplets and must understand that innate need that babies have to want to destroy pages of paper). I own five books from the series and will cut and paste a similar review for all five of them on Amazon. I started out with two books and immediately bought three more and my 5.5 month old baby has been using and enjoying these books since about 4 months old. I let my baby hold the book and explore it on his own and I don't do much beyond pointing to something on the page and saying, "That's a fish!" or something similar. My baby doesn't constantly want to hear a 20 page story, he just wants to hear my voice while he joyfully attempts to rip up the book.

Besides being a new mom, I'm also a librarian; formerly a Children's Librarian although now I work with adults. In any case, I'm aware of the importance of introducing the concept of books early on to get little ones prepared for reading one day and to teach them that books are enjoyable. For babies, that means getting them used to feeling a book (sometimes tasting, it can be hard to get them not to do that and it's how they explore), holding it and encouraging them to look at the pictures. I completely understand the criticisms that some of the users have for the fact that these books are wordless, thus preventing the chance to make word associations and the like.

Take it from the mom of a very typically destructive little boy, these things live up to their name of "indestructible"! They've been chewed on, tossed, stomped, and there have been maaaany attempts at ripping pages out by the crazy kiddo, and although it looks a little wrinkled, its in great condition! He also loves the colorful illustrations inside and will sit on his dad's lap and listen intently as he flips through the pages and explains the animals to him.

LOVE this book! I recommend it to everyone!

Book is wordless, when it should have included 1-2 words a page. Babies love print.

I like the creative images. At times though, a greater contrast in colors from the animal to its background would help see the image better. Some of the animals seemed a tad odd.

My son loves having a book that mom lets him play with and chew on. These books will get wrinkled but they are still functional and much better than giving my son a real book (which would be destroyed at first drool).

The pages are too thin for my 9 month old to turn. He can only do board book page turning at this point.

Overall, my son loves to play with it.

These are such fantastic books! They are perfect for baby because babies like to chew and grab at things. This book can totally handle it. The next thing I love it that it just has pictures (the pictures are beautiful) so you can create ever changing stories and encourage baby/toddler to do the same. Plus, these are great to travel with because they are light and get a little wear. I wish I would have thought of an indestructible book. Brilliant.

These books have withstood the test of my 6.5 month old baby constantly chewing, spitting, and attempting to tear them.
They are easy to pack in a diaper bag, don't get ruined if wet, and I feel safe giving them to my baby. I've even seen them at the public library, if that's an indicator of their hardiness! The art is beautiful as well. It's very Eric Carle-like.
A potential downside is that the Indestructibles I have are wordless. As a teacher I know the value of a wordless book and can appreciate it, but some parents/caregivers might find a wordless book frustrating to "read."

These books are FANTASTIC!!! Babies can chew, slobber, rip, tear, and take in the bathtub and they still stay intact! They truly are fascinating. If you want your baby to have the experience of enjoying books but don't want them to ruin them then this is the book for you.

They all come in vibrant colors with fun pictures that babies will love. Some do not contain words so they are perfect for infants that you want to instill a love of books in. This will be on my list for every baby shower from here on out.

These are books that can be given to babies adn small children to look at, chew on, and that cannot be torn. If it gets goobered on you can safely wash the book! No struggling with a small child who wants to hold and look at the book on their own! Fun option of a book!

These books truly are indestructible! My son is very rough with his books, he enjoys looking at books in his crib but will tear apart regular books in a morning. So these were a welcome find. They keep his attention which is also great.
