"Outside-In, A Lift-the-Flaps Body Book" is a reprint of a popular biology book for kids originally released over 20 years ago. Basic concepts of the body's organs, skin, breathing and digestion and cooling/heating functions, blood and circulation, and the body's bones, teeth and muscles are all areas of study via the lift the flaps body book approach. Kids age 4-8 will enjoy learning basic human biology with this interactive teaching book. "Outside-In" is a children's classic revisited whose time has come to educate and entrance a new generation.

It is very informative for small children without being too much. Son really likes it. Wish the flaps were slightly thicker as I am sure it wouldnt last long if he was unsupervised with it for a short amount of time.

My 3 year old loved to pretend she's a doctor and she's really interested in how the body works. I coujd not ask for a better introduction than this book! I ordered a puzzle to go with it that has layers and I'm so excited to teach her using these fun tools!

This book claims to be "fact-filled". It isn't. For the most part it's inaccurate or misleading and at its worst just plain wrong. The most notable example being when it claims that the blood "going back to your heart" is "bluer" (which is a popular but incorrect myth).

The author needs to talk to a few actual scientists before writing another book like this.

A good book for children who are at least four years old. It has fun lift-the-flaps, but a lot of description(although in fairly easy vocabulary) makes the book better for children with a little more interest in the subject or a little longer attention span.

My 4 year old grand daughters love this book. It's a little over their heads but in the next year or so it will start making more and more sense. They find it fascinating to see the parts of their bodies and how they work and why. I highly recommend it.
